About the Author

The author discovered her love for storytelling later in life, returning to college in her forties and carrying the story of Cedar Harbor quietly with her for more than sixteen years before ever putting pen to paper. During that time, the characters lived, breathed, and grew alongside her, developing voices, histories, and hearts that became deeply familiar. What began as a single book slowly revealed itself to be much more, ultimately unfolding into a four-volume series that follows Maddie's life from childhood into the future. Writing Cedar Harbor was never about rushing a story onto the page; it was about honoring the time it took for the story to become ready.

At heart, she is a storyteller who believes the most meaningful stories are meant to be lived alongside the reader. Through Maddie's journey, her hope is that readers don't simply observe the story, but experience it - walking through loss and healing, joy and uncertainty, hope and love as if Maddie were a trusted friend. The Cedar Harbor series is written with the intention that readers feel understood, connected, and fully immersed, carrying the same hopes for Maddie's future that she carries for herself.
